Workshop 3: Reservoir Sedimentation, state of the art

Information

Date

Friday May 29, 2026, 8 AM – 12 Noon

Title

Workshop 3: Sedimentation in Reservoirs, State of the Art

Content

Sedimentation of reservoirs is a worldwide concern as the process diminishes the useful life and proper functioning of dam projects to the detriment of beneficiaries. And, to a greater or lesser extent, all on-stream projects and even some off-stream projects suffer or will suffer sediment impacts over their lifetime.

This workshop will consist of recent case studies presented by leading experts in the field with lessons learned from a global array of projects dealing with sediment in reservoirs and its management. The workshop will be divided into presentations by the invited speakers, followed by a short panel with the presenters and discussion by all attendees.

Information

Date

Friday, May 29th Full day (8 hours)

Title

Workshop 5: Tailings Dams: Risk-Based Design Risk-Based Decision Making Risk-Based Decision Making

Content
